Hi,
#ubuntu-unity is not a bad place to ask, although depending on the time of
day might be quiet and tends to be a bit more unity8 focused.
But, I would suggest a potentially better place to ask about unity7 might
be in #ubuntu-desktop or #ubuntu-devel
