I've upgraded a couple of systems from 17.10 to 18.04. These systems
had Unity 7. Everything seems to be still working fine in 18.04. Only
very small glitches that I observed are:

1) In the login screen of lightdm, "17.10" is still shown despite
having upgraded to 18.04.

2) The Unity 7 logo in the login screen is still a white circle, as
for this bug:

But as I said, Unity 7 seems completely functional so far.
