with nil the entire mail file yank problem does not occur, but replaying
to some messages doesn't lead to the quoting one would have expected.  I
think one example is when someone sends an email attachment, and it
shows up in the presentation buffer but not in the quote.  here is an
example:

This is a multi-part message in MIME format
.--------------000600080409050906070400Content-Type: text/plain;
charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowedContent-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit

--------------000600080409050906070400Content-Type: message/rfc822; name="flood and (no) eddies.eml"Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bitContent-Disposition: inline; filename="flood and (no) eddies.eml"
anything below this point wont show up in the quoted text although it is shown in the presentation buffer...

hi, when I reply to the message below, my entire inbox is quoted in the reply.
 that's over 15Mb.  this seems to happen consistently in different emacs
sessions.  I don't see anything wrong with this message, but perhaps you will...
 cvs emacs 23.1.50, using the latest trunk.  thanks...  E
