Fixing some of this stuff is quite time consuming and it is very easy to
forget or lose track. One of the disadvantages witht he custom stuff is that
it is very difficult to get emacs to re-initialise things without a restart
- just re-evaluating the definitions does not always give consistent
results. While I have tried to keep track of things, there are a few bits
that I know still need work which can get overlooked, so suggestions and
recommendations are always welcome.
