What error(s) did you get?  I suspect that you might have hit an issue
where you're still in the install phase, but not booted up quite yet.
But I'm no expert on the tool or VMs in general.

It shouldn't make too much of a difference, esp since you need to
bootup the system anyway.  Sure, the first boot will be a little
slower, but you're still doing initial setup and just consider that
part of the process overhead.
