Ahhh - this was my exact intention when writing this sentence. Obviously I missed the point though.

Next try:
The game was inspired by Settlers II™ (© Bluebyte) but has significantly more variety and depth to it.

It could be possible to add informations about the three tribes and their distinctiveness here, but I feel that the introductory text is already too long.

Well, the goal was never to redo settlers II exactly, so I reformulated again a bit.
