Yes, it would be great if everybody was still around - but this is the nature of Open Source projects. People come and stay as long as it is fun for them and they have the time, then they move on. Sometimes, they will disappear for a while and then come back. This is why the code style rules and commenting are so important, so somebody new will have a chance of understanding the code better.
