Richard Hughes has confirmed that the Appdata file is correct, and the tex has been proofread on the forums.

All we need now is somebody to have a look at the Python code.

Regarding the install path, this will be easy to test after this branch has merged, because the PPA will complain if anything is wrong.

I will be away from my delvelopment machine for a while starting next weekend, so I'd like to merge this ASAP so I can fix up the PPA-related stuff if necessary.
