The toy app blueprint:

was chosen to require nothing more than a standard Ubuntu repository, 
and using the lightest-possible weight app server. Centralization 
requires faster and faster, and more and more fully-featured app 
servers.  Decentralization lets you run an install base on next to 
nothing at all.
