Not that PFC manual is not less available than any other scientific book. You can buy it without the PFC license (37$ for "Theoretical Background"). The difference with most other books is actually that you can download it for free... There is no reason to disregard it. I recently met a guy doing mostly theoretical research - he never ran any DEM simulation - who was considering this PFC manual as the best reference about DEM formulation. I think he was right.OK, but you should write the whole derivation here I think. PFC manual is not commonly available and the algorithms should be clear.
