It is an indication that there is _perhaps_ no bug.
Viscous laws introduce special restrictions on the timestep (it needs
dt<dt_viscous in addition to dt_<dt_elastic). If one does not care about
that, he will have no problem in some cases (dt < dt_elastic <
dt_viscous) but explosions in others (dt_viscous < dt < dt_elastic).
Maybe Sergei's example hit the later case?
