Hi there,
I totally agree with Bruno. Moving to github is not a good idea in my opinion for the same reason Anton gave, at least if we can manage this in an other way.
Unfortunately I dont have a constructive idea how to handle it.

I don't know how launchpad handles spammers, can we ban some accounts on the mailing lists we are managing?
I don't think restricting posting rights of everyone but team members is the right way to solve the problem. It has to remain open access IMO.
