Wait, that command:

svn checkout svn://svn.berlios.de/yade/trunk/

*never* works for them? Because I think that public/private IP is
irrelevant, and svn should work regardless of this.

Also I remember that at that time berlios site was down for few hours.
And also - because I more often use svn.belrios.de - I have noticed that
sometimes this server is down for short peroids of time.

So if that command worked at least once, then there is no issue with
public/private IP.

Setting a svn mirror repository is possible solution for this downtime
problem with svn.berlios.de, but I have never tried that :) If this
downtime will occur annoyingly often we can consider this solution.
