Klaus Thoeni proposed the following answer:
You don't need to have different type of elements in order to have
different contact laws. You can define different materials with
different material parameters and define the contact parameters via
MatchMakers [1] in the contact physics. To clarify, a MatchMaker works
like: if material1 in contact with material2 then use this contact
paramter.
