Re: [Question #235004]: What's the meaning of normalCohesion and shearCohesion in CohFrictMat in detail

Question #235004 on Yade changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/yade/+question/235004

    Status: Open => Answered

jduriez proposed the following answer:
Hello,

You're right, the doc (https://www.yade-
dem.org/doc/yade.wrapper.html#yade.wrapper.CohFrictMat.normalCohesion)
is not very explicit about this...

In fact, giving a look inside the code, these material parameters of
CohFrictMat are used to compute CohFrictPhys.normalAdhesion and
CohFrictPhys.shearAdhesion (see l.62 of
pkg/dem/Ip2_CohFrictMat_CohFrictMat_CohFrictPhys.cpp), which are the
"an" and "as" of https://www.yade-
dem.org/doc/yade.wrapper.html#yade.wrapper.Law2_ScGeom6D_CohFrictPhys_CohesionMoment

Feel free to improve the documentation once you get it ! (it's worth,
here, I think)

Jerome
