Re: [Question #236174]: How to display the direction of particle velocity and force as arrays in paraview?

Question #236174 on Yade changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/yade/+question/236174

    Status: Answered => Open

jimtianxi is still having a problem:
Attached are part of my vtk files and some pictures. Fig. 1 indicates my
whole work. A drilling bit drills into a block of soil. In this picture,
the soil has been clipped in paraview by the clip function, because I
want to watch this part of particles. Fig. 2 shows the detailed display
of these particles colored by linear velocity. In this picture, I can
get the value of each particle's velocity by color, but I cannot know
the direction of each particle's velocity which is more important. In
another software pfc, the velocity directions can be shown by arrows
very clearly, as shown in Fig. 3. So I need help how to display like pfc
in paraview? I believe there is a certain method to get it, because the
vtk data includes the velocity vector information of all the particles.
