Hello Hicham, there are  only two possibilities IMHO:
1- Something is wrong in your simulation , then particles velocities become NaN, resulting in NaN shear increment; or
2- Something is wrong in your simulation or in your source code, then ReferenceLength is zero sometimes (did you check?)
