Re: [Question #290111]: about true triaxial test
Question #290111 on Yade changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/yade/+question/290111
Status: Open => Answered
Jérôme Duriez proposed the following answer:
Hi,
Your question is quite dense with a very long script: this does not help
to answer. Next time, better to open distinct Launchpad questions for
distinct questions, and summarize the best you can (all) the changes you
made to the script "session1" to adapt it to your goals. (giving a look
to https://www.yade-dem.org/wiki/Howtoask would also help)
This being said, here are short pieces of help / information requests
1) which request do you mean ? A final value of particle diameter ? An anisotropic stress state (true triaxial conditions) ?
2) The radial expansion stops when the desired isotropic stress is
reached and the sample is at equilibrium, that's the only conditions. The
"internalCompaction" attribute of TriaxialStressController controls
whether the isotropic pressure is reached after particles growing, or
walls moving, see https://yade-
dem.org/doc/yade.wrapper.html#yade.wrapper.TriaxialStressController.internalCompaction
(feel free to propose a reformulation of the doc once you get it, if the
doc does not sound clear to you)
3) I have no idea... I am even surprised (do not believe ?) the axial
compaction starts if the desired isotropic pressure is not reached.
