Forget my previous 3), it applied to the old TriaxialCompressionEngine,
not to TriaxialStressController and this kind of script..

In your case, the reason for axial stress to differ from desired
confining pressure at the end of the isotropic compression could be that
the isotropic compression has not been executed during enough
iterations.
