You tried to modify the source code, that's it ? Did you also modify
UniaxialStrainer.cpp in order to update this new variable "dAX" ?

As a side note, did you consider to use TriaxialStressController ? In spite of its name, it should be possible to use it for uniaxial loadings. And TriaxialStressController provides already access to external work:
