No, there is no irregular tetrahedra whatever the psd.
Actually the triangulation already includes the bounding walls as spheres with radius _much_ larger than particle size, enough to prove that it is not a problem (the terahedra are very elongated, yes, not a problem at all).

A sound starting point to understand the problem would be to have two
scripts only differing by the psd.
