Re: [Question #661933]: Triaxial tests on cubic or cyclindrical samples

Question #661933 on Yade changed:

Jérôme Duriez posted a new comment:
Hi,

I'm not aware of any reference comparing DEM simulations with cubes or
cylinders. (and I'm afraid such a paper would be difficult to publish ?)

If you really need to prove someone that the effects of a stress are
identical whatever the shape of the REV (...) you will have to search in
the doc / mailing list, how to create a confining structure/membrane for
a cylindrical specimen (assuming you are interested in classical
"triaxial" tests) and perform the comparison yourself, I think.
