Hi,

Creep implements a force relaxation like this:
d(fs)/dt=-fs/c

where "c" is the creeping viscosity. It is _not_ the usual spring-dashpot, which would converge to an equilibrium ultimately.
With creep activated the contacts will slide (in principle very slowly) forever.
I wouldn't dare calling it "damping" although that's a sufficiently vague notion to include nearly everything.

The law functor which is the closest to the classical spring-dashpot is
Law2_ScGeom_ViscElPhys_Basic.
