Re: [Question #697104]: Contact angle FlowEngine
Question #697104 on Yade changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/yade/+question/697104
Status: Open => Answered
Jérôme Duriez proposed the following answer:
Hi,
Ref [1] relates with YADE Law2_ScGeom_CapillaryPhys_Capillarity (and
related classes) = the mechanical action of balanced liquid (or any
other wetting fluid phase) bridges between particles pair. It is not
really related with TwoPhaseFlowEngine = pore flow of two immiscible
fluid phases (and even less with Flow Engine which considers cases with
only one, saturating, fluid phase)
If you're interested in mechanical capillary effects described by
Law2_ScGeom_CapillaryPhys_Capillarity, there is a couple of YADE
examples in examples/capillaryLaplaceYoung [*] : capillaryBridge.py =
just one particle pair with its bridge and CapillaryPhys-example.py with
a packing. Other scripts in that folder are intended to build databases
for various contact angles.
If not, please precise your question :-)
