Message #15139
[Bug 1326553] [NEW] Instance lock/unlock state is not presented anywhere
Public bug reported:
The "nova lock" and "nova unlock" commands will enable OpenStack's
answer to EC2's "termination protection" functionality, which some users
find handy, but the lock-state of an instance is not presented anywhere
in the API.
This causes confusion and panic when users to attempt actions on locked
instances, and the actions fail for no discernible reason.
** Affects: nova
