Public bug reported:

MySQL Galera does not support SELECT ... FOR UPDATE[1], since it has no
concept of cross-node locking of records and results are non-
deterministic.

We should prefer to avoid SELECT ... FOR UPDATE (sqlalchemy
with_lockmode method)
