Title:
Multiple Floating IP Pools is not full functional
Status in OpenStack Neutron (virtual network service):
Expired
Bug description:
I'v tested 'Multiple Floating IP Pools' and refer to the Doc of
http://docs.openstack.org/grizzly/openstack-
network/admin/content/adv_cfg_l3_agent_multi_extnet.html
But there are some of issues:
1. Besides create external networks and router before invoke multiple l3-agent services, it also needs to do following process, otherwise router will not work normally
- set gateway for router (quantum router-gateway-set)
- add subnets of internal network to router (quantum router-interface-add)
2. After multiple l3-agent services is invoked, it can't remove or add any interfaces from the router. There is no any error when your do these processes either via commands or dashboard, but in the network node,no any updates happened in the router namespace.
3. Can't disassociate Floating IPs, same phenomenon like above, no
errors in the commands and dashboard, but Floating IP still exists in
the router namespace.
BTW 'Multiple Floating IP Pools' is a really import, because it is
hard to get a large number (B class or half B)and continue public IP
address. In general it will a several of C class IP addresses. In this
case it has to create many network nodes with L3-agent to support
support it if can't run 'Multiple Floating IP Pools' in same network
node.
