Title:
euca-authorize port ranges misleading error message
Status in OpenStack Compute (Nova):
Invalid
Bug description:
NOTE: Opening based on forum thread
http://forums.openstack.org/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=662
version: 2011.3 (2011.3-nova-milestone-
tarball:tarmac-20110922115702-k9nkvxqzhj130av2)
euca-authorize -P tcp -p 0-65535 -s 0.0.0.0/0 default
ApiError: [] Not enough parameters to build a valid rule
compared to
euca-authorize -P tcp -p 1-65535 -s 0.0.0.0/0 default
which succeeds.
The error message is misleading, "out of range" or similar would have
been more helpful.
