Title:
Prevent accidentally losing work in modal forms
Status in OpenStack Dashboard (Horizon):
Fix Released
Bug description:
This ticket relates to the questions Question #210402, pasted below:
***************************************
Hi,
I've been working with Horizon for a while, it's pretty neat. However
one thing has been bothering me, the pop up django form. If I
accidentally click outside of the form, the form disappears. Sometimes
it happens after I have filled in some edit boxes, and because of the
accident click, all data is lost.
My question is would it be better to lock the pop up window until
someone clicks the submit button or the cancel button? IMHO it will
not lose any flexibility, but enhances stability to Horizon.
Thanks,
Xin

We seem to go back and forth on this one... It IS nice to close it by clicking outside out the dialog when you want to close it, but, as you said, it makes it REALLY aggravating when you have a form filled out and didn't mean/want to close it.
Perhaps just file a ticket and we can address this so that you have to click close/cancel to close the dialog.
