This weakens the assertion in our case. I don't want to test for the
generic bool(value) case - i want to ensure that the functions are
actually returning either True or False.

Bug description:
  Manila  should use the specific assertion:

    self.assertIsTrue/False(observed)

  instead of the generic assertion:

    self.assertEqual(True/False, observed)
