Public bug reported:

After using the extension for about 6 months, it has now started giving
the infamous "Maximum number of clients reached [program]:  unable to
open display ":0" bug.

The symptoms are exactly the same as this bug:

Disabling the extension immediately frees the windows / drops the amount
of clients.
