Actually, I do no know how Linux (Gnome / KDE) do it as I do not use grouping.

I take it that you are joking, but is there really no way to file a
bug with Microsoft? I just did some googling and it seems that MS bugs
are to be mailed to this address:

Is that so? Can anyone point me to the online MS bug tracker / reporter?
