Sorry I've been absent for a while. Today I finally got a chance to look at
what I need to do with the Windows build for the 0.49 release. Here's what's
assigned to me: < https://bugs.launchpad.net/~bkidwell/+assignedbugs >. To
everyone: Are there any bugs missing from the list?
These two probably just need final comments and closure:
lp:568342 [zim 0.46][win32] Can not start zim on windows (may not be
properly installed)
lp:612393 icons missing in win32 build; won't open a notebook
These three I can HOPEFULLY fix tomorrow night or Saturday night:
lp:623552 Windows Zim 0.48: jpeg62.dll not found
lp:612407 [Win7] When an error occurs, Zim tries to write to log in "Program
Files" and fails because this is not allowed
lp:612433 [0.48] [Win32] installer doesn't write icon correctly to Start
Menu, Desktop shortcuts
And with any luck, when I try to do a build from the current source, all
those shiny new features won't cause any Windows-related problems.
Has anyone been testing the latest source in Windows? You can try the
instructions here if you're dying to try the latest features:
http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~pardus-cpan/zim/pyzim/annotate/head:/windows/README-BUILD-win32.txt
When you're ready to follow those instructions, check out lp:zim and work
from there.
