Sounds doable - I'll look into it - probably make the same change
transparent for all config files.

Yes please open a bug report for this just in case.

The idea to automatically scan all notebooks in a given folder has been
proposed before - see https://bugs.launchpad.net/zim/+bug/208611 . This is
to complex to fix before next release.
