Hi 
can someone tell me where things get stored on a Mac, e.g. the path to the data directory? I know where the data are stored but not where this location is referenced from. 

The manual has this to say about Linux:
XDG_CONFIG_HOME = HOME/.config/
XDG_DATA_HOME   = HOME/.local/share/
XDG_DATA_DIRS   = /usr/local/share/:/usr/share/

On my Mac there is a /usr/local/share/zim directory containing the manual amongst other things but I am not sure what else should be found locally on my Mac.
