Hi Vojta,

With respect to Ctrl-Space and Tab behavior, I see what you mean. I'm
working on it.

As Mukli already wrote, "zim --plugin trayicon" can be used to start just
the tray icon. Setting a global shortcut key for your desktop can not be
done from within zim. So there is no accelerator to open the trayicon menu.

However there are solutions to set a global keybinding, depending on your
desktop environment. These typically trigger a command. Setting one for
"zim" or "zim --list" could come close to what you are looking for.
