I have a question about the way these two plugins interact and how it's
changed for me since moving to the 0.7 series, and whether there might
be any further changes (or reversions?) possible.
Previously if the journal plugin and index plugin were both activated at
the same side of the screen they would squeeze themselves into one tab,
the journal would place a calendar above the file tree displayed by the
index plugin. Now the journal and the index plugin exist in separate
tabs and the calendar has its own file tree. I can see the logic in the
switch but it's created a redundancy. If I'm switching from my journal
to the main body of my notebook I now have to switch twice, first onto
the index tab and then to scroll past the journal entries in the index
pane. Towards the end of the month that can be a fair old scroll,
towards the end of the year even more so. I know, I know, in the grand
scheme of things this is relatively trivial but I use Zim loads it's
been bugging me. Maybe I need to get out some more.
Does anyone else see this as a problem?
Would it be possible to switch it back to the old layout? Or failing
that would it be possible to add an option to hide the journalling
namespace in the index pane?
