 I suddenly realize that the option to turn on the tear-off menus has
disappeared from the preferences->interface configuration. The possibility
to tear off the backlinks list is crucial to be able to effectively browser
backlinks to pages as the backlink widget gets updated to the backlink of
the current page and that is not what I want when I browse journal entries.
It seems to me that gtk3 is supporting the tear-off, but there may be a
design issue which has led to them being removed.
I have git-grepped the repository to try to find if there is a way to
configure this in a setup-file somewhere. Not found anything yet
