This post will be about Unity stuff I am interested (and maybe start working on), I am not a designer but I can give it a bit of a kick off by implementing zeitgeist-powered backends.

Currently the Zeitgeist integration into the Unity Shell is limited upon files and Applications, but we can offer more. I was thinking of ways to enhance Unity with web activity as well as chat activities.

I gave it a bit of a thought how would Unity look like that integrates with Telepathy:

Although the information needed is already available in Telepathy we also have them in Zeitgeist, yet I recommend using Telepathy for this Mock-up.

i agree with Oscar RdG here, Travis Reitter did a good job in implementing meta-contacts with libfolks, i think its about time this gets tied into the UI accessibly.. On the other hand i don't know how stable his API is right now :S

The "last week" history on contacts can be collapsed by default imo, same goes for yesterday. "most contacted" sounds funny, i'd rather call it "favourites" and allow pinning special people into it. My use case is usually managing contacts properly rather than searching/browsing them extensively, then i check favourites, then recent conversations...
..again, here libfolks would help a lot.

I can understand very well, if you prefer leaving the libfolks contact management stuff to "Contact List" of Empathy / Telepathy, keeping your own interface nice and consistent that way.

Also a view for Web history is essential for my needs:

For this we already have Firefox and Chrome plugins that dump the needed information into Zeitgeist.

The Web History stuff kicks ass!!!

thanks again :)
