no, canonical doesnt support 2D desktops at all anymore, unity-2d was
discontinued upstream in precise already, all further development is
done on unity 3D. in quantal the unity-2d code was completely removed
from the ubuntu archive. there is simply no way to run ubuntu-desktop on
2D arm setups in 12.10.
