Re: further problems 3810t ubuntu 64
Sorry... I didn't answer your last question. Someone on this list reported
success with the recent 2.6.30 kernel, so the problem may be fixed there.
Incidentally, I turned AHCI back on (ACPI was always on, for me), and the
laptop booted just fine. It *did* spend more time thinking about loading
the GRUB menu -- quite a bit longer, in fact -- but bearable, since the
laptop isn't often shut completely down. I'm still using the stock Jaunty
2.6.28 kernel, so maybe it always worked for me and it was just a fluke that
it wouldn't boot the first time after installing.
