Are you sure you can't access the system remotely? I'm on a 4810T with
Debian. It will freeze if I am running glxgears while I hit the
brightness keys. But I believe killing glxgears (from ssh or whatever)
will unfreeze it. So 3D + brightness = freeze? This seems to happen with
or without kernel mode set.
Originally, brightness used to work (but not the keys).
