Recent Lucid updates break suspend?

Has anyone else noticed suspend stopped working in the last week or so?
Running Lucid, when I try to suspend, the screen fades to dark but never
actually goes into the suspend state.  When I press a key to "resume",
the behavior is as if I chose "Lock Screen" rather than suspend.

I'm running kernel version 2.6.32-22-generic on an ASUS UL30-X5.
