Public bug reported:

pop up windows show a hotizintal scroll bar but this widget is read only
workaround: the window must be enlarged to see the content

nevertheless I suggest to put some intelligence in the client to create popups which are automatically wide enough to avoid horizontal scroll bars - 
please think about user friendlyness
