[Bug 1098980] Re: Logout applet: middle click is going logout insted of shutdown

Hello and thank you for this bug report,

Did you specify a custom command to shutdown your computer in the config
panel?

On XFCE, it should launch "xfce4-session-logout" and you should have a window to confirm that you want to shutdown/logout/restart/... Is it correct?
On GNOME, it should be "gnome-session-quit --logout" (or "gnome-session-save --kill --gui" for older versions).

And what's the output of this command:
   $ echo $SESSION_MANAGER

Title:
  Logout applet: middle click is going logout insted of shutdown

Status in Cairo-Dock: Plug-ins:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  After I install the dock, I always add Logout applet and in the options, I select the action for middle click to be Shutdown.
  I tried this with Linux Mint 14, Ubuntu Studio and Xubuntu (all 64bits). I have the ppa for stable build active, using the latest stable version.
  When I want to turn the PC off, I go to this applet and just give it a middle click. Now this is not happening and the login screen appears.
  I have tried to search for this on the web and in the forums, but I did not found nothing regarding this problem.
  All the best
