Public bug reported:

Since I upgraded to Oneiric, skype doesn't display its icon in the menu
bar anymore.

That means that if the  'Start minimized in system tray' option is
selected, it's not possible to access Skype after it starts.

Starting another skype instance and then killing all of them and
authenticating again will bring back the 'Contacts' window. Make sure to
disable the option afterwards.

Skype version 2.2.0.35-0natty1 installed from the natty-parner software
source.
