Re: [Cloud-init-dev] FreeBSD + cloud-init
Hi guys,
Nice to meet you and thanks for the introduction Joshua!
My company (Cloudbase Solutions) is responsible for the development of Cloudbase-init (the Windows Cloud-Init equivalent) and we're planning to add support for BSD as well which in turn can be integrated into Cloud-Init (the other way around is not possible due to Apache 2 vs GPL licensing).
For details: http://www.cloudbase.it/cloud-init-for-windows-instances/ and https://github.com/cloudbase/cloudbase-init
We have quite a bit of experience in working on multiple OSs, including Windows, Linux and BSD, so this would be quite a natural next step. :-)
Thanks,
Alessandro

Adding the rest of the cloud-init dev team, who also might be interested in helping :-)

Subject: FreeBSD + cloud-init
Hey all,
I was just talking to alex (ap@) on IRC and he might be working on hooking cloud-init into *bsd*.
Seeing that we are still running freebsd in various places we might want to help in this work also.
I know we are trying to move away from freebsd in general but it might be useful to combine our knowledge and help out in making this happen.
Thoughts??
-Josh
