Re: CoApp Design & Development Summit.

Rest assured, absolutely everything will be published.

I’m looking into seeing if I can hook up live meeting during the two days, so anyone can connect in and watch/participate online.

I don't can come to the USA, but I'm very interested to the solutions. I hope that you (Garrett) public the solutions and specifications of the summit to the project page. :D

Nothing above what you’ve said.
Bring a laptop if you’ve got one. I could probably scrounge up a loaner or two if necessary.
Dress code… hmm. Try to wear some clothes. Yeah… really, Microsoft is the most relaxed dress I’ve ever seen.
I wouldn’t worry about what kind of a commitment… whatever you can do, is what you can do.

Yeah, pretty much stop worrying. :D

And the volcano will quiet down. I know a guy who knows a guy. That guy is on a first name basis with a guy who plays handball with the cousin of the Volcano god. It’s in the bag.

Hullo Garrett,
I have a few questions, the answers to which might be of use to others on the list.

  * Anything in particular we should do/read in preparation (other than the obvious, like list posts/wiki)?
  * Anything in particular we should bring so that we can be productive while we're there? Laptops, pens & paper, etc..
  * Dress code? Silly question, but had to be asked. :)
  * On the subject of "taking ownership"... longer term, what sort of time commitment would be considered reasonable, or is that up to the individual? Presumably a lot of us would be acting as volunteers, as per most open-source projects, and I for one wouldn't want to enter in to anything where I might not live up to expectations. I might be worrying too much, in which case feel free to tell me in as many words. Wouldn't be the first time. ;)
At the moment I'm still half expecting not to be able to go, with all this volcano business recently, but hey, it's something to look forward to..

Regards,
Phil
