No, the external monitor is fine.

The internal monitor shows the bottom-left part of the screenshot: top
half of which is fine, bottom half of which is empty.  The position of
the Chromium "statusbar" in the middle of the internal monitor seems to
indicate that Compiz decided the internal monitor is 320 pixels high
instead of the full 800.  In other words, the bottom is located 800
pixels below the top of the framebuffer area, instead of 800 pixels
below the top of the screen.
