Public bug reported:

I have a dual-head configuration with my desktop spanning both monitors,
side-by-side. I am using the Catalyst driver from AMD. The Unity
launcher defaults to being on the right-hand monitor instead of the
left.

Ubuntu Release: 12.10
Catalyst Driver: 12.11 beta.
I expect the Unity Launcher to be on the left side of my desktop.
Instead it is in the middle of my desktop, on the left side of the right-hand monitor. I know that I am supposed to be able to change this with the "Displays" settings applet, but that doesn't work, and this should be automatic anyway.
